Two crashes snarl east Sonoma, Napa routes
An overturned big rig on rural Highway 121 early Tuesday in Schellville reduced traffic to one lane during the morning commute, according to the Highway Patrol.
The rig jackknifed at 7:05 a.m. near Ramal Road and landed on its side, blocking the westbound lane.
The CHP issued an alert about one-way traffic control, funneling it around the wreck for about two hours before the crash was cleared. Westbound traffic backed up to Napa Road, according to traffic reports.
The rig was loaded with boxes of coats, according to initial CHP reports.
An ambulance responded but whether the driver was injured wasn’t initially available.
