The masked man who robbed a Sonoma bank branch Tuesday simulated having a gun and demanded money, a Sonoma County sheriff’s official said Wednesday.

The robber, who didn’t have a bag, told a clerk “give me your money right now,” grabbed the cash and ran from the RaboBank on Broadway at 12:05 p.m., said sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Crum.

Crum on Wednesday released a new picture of the man without the mask, taken by surveillance video at a Sonoma grocery store before the robbery. The man also was seen getting into the driver’s seat of an older model Subaru Legacy and officials released a picture of the silver or light gray vehicle. The Subaru is missing the driver’s side front hubcap and front license plate.

On Tuesday, officials released a picture from the bank of the masked man, who was described as Latino, between 30 and 35 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches.

Detectives ask anyone with information to call 707-565-2121 or Detective Jayson Fowler at 707-732-0108.
