The northbound lane of Highway 1 near Tomales was temporarily blocked Sunday afternoon while authorities cleared wreckage from a crash, the CHP said.

A motorcycle and a Honda Accord collided at about 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Fallon Road and Shoreline Highway, Sgt. Chris Linehan said.

The rider was taken by helicopter to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with chest and face injuries, Linehan said.

No injuries were reported by anyone in the Accord, he said.

Traffic was reduced to one lane while the wreckage was removed, causing some congestion, according to radio reports.

"We are routing one-way traffic through the area," Linehan said.
