Big rig driver crashes, partially blocks Napa County highway

Traffic was reduced to one lane, and drivers were being directed through the Highway 29 stretch, according to Cal Fire.|

Drivers heading over Highway 29 between Middletown and Calistoga found their way partially blocked by a crashed big rig, according to the CHP.

The 7:44 a.m. crash was on the downhill grade of the rural highway, near Old Lawley Toll Road. The driver was heading south and apparently lost control on a curve and crashed.

No injuries were reported and the driver was able to get out of the large vehicle. Directed traffic was reduced to one lane, according to Cal Fire.

Two tow trucks were requested to move the rig.

Highway 29 connects Napa and Lake counties.
