The CHP said a driver in a three‑vehicle collision early Monday on Highway 101 in Santa Rosa was arrested, suspected of driving drunk.

Officers arrested Kayla Allen, 20, on two counts of felony drunken driving, according to the CHP. She remained in custody Tuesday in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The crash at Hearn Avenue sent three people to a hospital and blocked southbound lanes for hours, according to authorities.

The collision happened just before 1 a.m. in southern Santa Rosa and left wrecked vehicles and scattered debris across the width of the freeway and stretching about 100 yards, Santa Rosa fire Battalion Chief Mark Basque said.

Three ambulances and three tow trucks responded and as the debris was cleared, traffic was funneled to an open lane. All lanes were open by 4:30 a.m, according to the CHP.

Further details of the collision or arrest weren’t available Tuesday afternoon from the CHP.
