Two suspected drug dealers arrested in Lucerne

Two men were arrested Friday on felony drug charges during a warrant search at a suspected drug dealer's Lucerne home, Lake County sheriff's officials said.

It was the second recent arrest for Stephen Poppe, 26, who was also arrested Oct. 20 when authorities found 298 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, a .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun, scales and other evidence of drug sales at the man's Clearlake Oaks home, Capt. James Bauman said.

Detectives Friday found Poppe and 24-year-old Joshua Colcleaser with more more than four pounds of marijuana packaged for sale at a home on Lucerne's Country Club Drive, Bauman said. They also found two grams of methamphetamine, pipes, scales and other drug paraphernalia.

Resident William Mueller, 25, wasn't at home but may still face charges in connection with drug sales, Bauman said.

Poppe and Colcleaser were arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, narcotics paraphernalia and marijuana for sales, Bauman said. They posted bond on $10,000 bail and were released late Friday, he said.
