Oak falls into west Santa Rosa home

While storm damage was minimal in Sonoma County from the weekend’s weather, one west Santa Rosa home was in the way of an oak tree that toppled Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.

Santa Rosa firefighters were called to a Nightingale Drive home near Marlow Road about 12:30 p.m. and found moderate roof damage to the home, fire officials said in a social media post.

Residents were home at the time but there were no injuries.

Several trees reportedly fell throughout the county during the windy, wet weather but the extreme winds and flash flood watch expected were canceled before they were set to expire, officials said.
