Copperfield’s Books opens Novato location April 13

The independent bookstore chain will now have eight locations around the North Bay.|

Sebastopol-based Copperfield’s Books will open its Novato location on April 13, giving the independent bookstore a total of eight locations around the North Bay.

The new facility will be located at 999 Grant Ave., in the heart of the redeveloped downtown.

“Community reception has been incredible,” said Paul Jaffe, Copperfield’s president and co-owner, in a statement. “We know we are coming into a community of readers.”

The store also will hold events, including an appearance by local authors Seré Prince Halverson and Melissa Cistaro on April 16 and a jazz in the neighborhood event with the Mary Fettig Quartet on April 30.
