Truett-Hurst reports sales decrease
Truett-Hurst Inc. of Healdsburg on Thursday reported that its net sales for the past nine months have decreased by 14.2 percent compared to the same period a year ago.
The wine company announced that it had $12.4 million in retail sales to supermarkets through the nine-month period ending on March 31, which was an almost 20 percent decrease from the same period a year ago.
Its direct-to-consumer business fared better with $4.6 million in sales for the same period, a 5.9 percent increase.
Truett-Hurst’s operating expenses were $6 million for the past nine months, $200,000 less for the same period a year ago. The company’s stock closed at $2.17 per share on Thursday, a 6 percent decrease from opening.
