SANTA ROSA
Harvest Fair uncorks
The Sonoma County Harvest Fair will be pouring award-winning wines next to award-winning food bites Oct. 4 and 5 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.
The Grand Tasting will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4 and 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 5 in the Grace Pavillion, with more than 100 local wineries pouring.
Rounding out the weekend will be the World Championship Grape Stomp competition, with teams competing both days to win a spot in the championship round at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 5.

GEYSERVILLE
Pinot at Virginia Dare
The Family Coppola will celebrate the pinot noir grape from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Francis Ford Coppola's Virginia Dare Winery.
The Adventure Pinot event will include wines from Virginia Dare, Francis Coppola Reserve, Director's Cut, Director's, Francis Coppola Diamond Collection, Votre Santé and Sofia wines.
Francis Ford Coppola's newest winery in Oregon, Domaine de Broglie, will also pour its pinot from the Willamette Valley.
To accompany the wine, there will be food pairings from The Family Coppola's collection of California-based restaurants, including Cafe Zoetrope in San Francisco, Rustic and Wero of Geyserville.
Live music will round out the afternoon.

KENWOOD
Cinq Cépages dinner
Chateau St. Jean and Winemaker Margo Van Staaveren will host a dinner from 4 to 9 p.m. Oct. 5 to unveil the winery's 2016 Cinq Cépages flagship wine.
The evening includes a seated tasting featuring rare, older vintages of Cinq Cépages, a reception and a four-course dinner on the grounds of the winery.

NAPA
Scribe and vinyl
Carneros Resort and Spa will host a party pairing Scribe wines and vinyl records from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 4 at the FARM Pavilion.
Executive Chef Aaron Meneghilli will provide the soundtrack for the evening from his personal collection of more than 500 records, including Motown, soul, classic rock and blues.
There will be a raw bar station with oysters and caviar and seasonal small plates to pair with the wines for $10 to $15.

PETALUMA
Oktoberfest at Brewsters
Brewsters will hold an Oktobert from noon to 4 pm.. Saturday, Sept. 28, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Petaluma beer garden.
Live music by Big Lou's Polka Casserole and Schwabenlan, stein holding and yodeling competitions, lederhosen and schnitzel sandwiches will all make an appearance.
The Oktoberfest is free, beer and food for purcahse. 229 Water St. North.
SEBASTOPOL
From kimchi to kombucha
Kathryn Lukas and Shane Peterson, co-authors of “The Farmhouse Culture Guide to Fermenting,” will appear at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 at Copperfield's Books in Sebastopol.
The book provides readers with history, health information and safest methods for preserving, along with 100 recipes for krauts, pickles, kimchi, fermented vegetables, hot sauces, preserved fruits, kombucha and even mead.
The event is free. Seating is first come, first serve. 138 Main St.
KENWOOD
Harvest at Ledson
Ledson Winery & Vineyards at the Ledson Castle will celebrate the 2019 harvest from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kenwood winery.
Guests will taste newly released wines paired with appetizers,, chat with the winemaking team and stroll through the oak-studded grounds.

Friday night at Sebastiani
Sebastiani Vineyards & Winery will host its last, four Friday Night Music Series concerts from 6 to 9 p.m. Fridays in October.
Scarlet Letters will perform on Oct. 4, the Kerry Daly Band will perform Oct. 11, Rewind takes the stage Oct. 18 and Ten Foot Tone and O and the Riots play on Oct. 25.
