Santa Rosa: Walk and picnic with Landpaths at the Laguna de Santa Rosa, 900 Sanford Road, 5:30-9 p.m. Meet at Heron Hall for hors d' oeuvres and walk a leisurely two miles through a hay field to Irwin Creek and lower Stone Farm. Windsor: All things zucchini at the Windsor Certified Farmers Market, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Town Green at 701 McClelland Drive. SUGARLOAF SCRAMBLE, SEPT. 15
Kenwood: Join a strenuous but rewarding “Bill & Dave Hike” to Brushy Peaks at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park, and enjoy the spectacular vistas on the ridgetop separating Napa and Sonoma counties. This 9-mile, 5-hour hike makes an elevation gain of 1800 feet. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a lunch with plenty to drink. Meet at 9:45 a.m. at the White Barn parking lot for a prompt 10 a.m. departure. Parking is limited, so consider carpooling. $8 vehicle admission fee. Click here for more info.
