Sonoma County may be best known for its world-class wine. But beer drinkers in-the-know recognize the region as a mecca for top-notch craft brews.

While satisfying suds can be found in the Bay Area year-round, beer event season typically kicks off in February with the release of Santa Rosa’s “FeBREWary” Beer Passport.

Those who sign up for the free digital passport can collect points by checking in to each of the 15 participating breweries. Collect enough points to quality for special Beer Passport prizes, including a commemorative lanyard and medal that doubles as a bottle opener. The first 100 people to redeem a lanyard will receive a 30% discount to the Beer City Festival on Feb. 24 in Santa Rosa’s Old Courthouse Square.

To sign up, visit visitsantarosa.com/beerpassport.
