T-ball coaches and assistant coaches needed

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma-Marin is looking for volunteer coaches to support its T-ball and Coach Pitch programs in Petaluma. Volunteers will teach baseball to boys and girls in Pre-K to first grade. Practices are twice a week, once during the week and once on the weekend. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to participate.

Canine Companions

Raise a puppy as a service dog

Canine Companions needs help raising puppies to be service dogs. Volunteers will care and train for a dog younger than 12 months old. Duties include giving the dog a safe home, taking them to puppy classes, serving them a healthy diet, providing socialization and giving them lots of love. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to participate.

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Santa Rosa

Make a difference by driving

Caring Rides in Santa Rosa needs volunteer drivers take seniors facing isolation to medical appointments and on other errands. An application is required, along with a TB test and background check. Volunteers must be at least 25 years old to participate.

Ceres Community Project

Kitchen & garden youth volunteer needed

Sebastopol-based Ceres Community Project provides meals for people with serious illnesses. Ceres has three sites serving Sonoma and Marin counties. It is looking for a youth volunteer who is interested in learn to prepare and cook healthy meals with a team of their peers under the guidance of a professional chef. Teen volunteers are asked to sign up for a weekly shift for a minimum of three months. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to participate.

Cotati Accordion Festival

Festival volunteers wanted

The Cotati Accordion Festival, a nonprofit event that helps fund music programs in local schools, is gearing up for its 33rd year. The event takes place Aug. 16-18 in Cotati and is run entirely by volunteers. Organizers need volunteers to help set up, monitor parking, run the first-aid tent, serve as crossing guards and run the hospitality tent.
