Caltrans and Sonoma County Transportation Authority will break ground on April 4 on a roundabout at the intersection of State Route 121 and State Route 116 in Schellville.

The goal of the project is to decrease traffic congestion, reduce accidents and improve access for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Completion of the project is scheduled for spring 2026, according to Caltrans.

The current cost estimate for this project is approximately $27 million, according to a Sept. 2023 SCTA report. The California Transportation Commission has allocated $19 million to project fund from the State Highway Operation and Protection Program. Measure M funding will cover the remaining $8 million for the project.
