Cocaine, medications ruled as cause of death for SF woman found in Windsor hotel room
A 24-year-old San Francisco woman found unresponsive in a Windsor hotel room in December after attending the Emerald Cup cannabis competition died of acute cocaine and mixed medication intoxication, according to the Sonoma County Coroner's Office.
Courtney Alexis Herda came to Sonoma County to attend the Emerald Cup cannabis competition with her boyfriend and at least four others in December.
The group stayed at WorldMark Windsor resort where Herda was found dead the morning of Dec. 11.
The woman's accidental overdose on cocaine and other nonspecified drugs was not considered suspicious.
