Father, son die in Bay Area plane crash

BENICIA - Authorities say a father and son died when the small plane they were in crashed in the San Francisco Bay Area.

KTVU-TV reports that the single-engine plane was discovered on Sunday around Benicia. Solano County Sheriff's Deputy Daniel Pratt tells the news station the 67-year-old father and his 43-year-old son died in the crash.

The plane piloted by the father was headed from the Bay Area to Humboldt County on Saturday when it crashed. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
