Grief for the nation

EDITOR: The Newtown, Conn. school shootings cause all of us — parents, grandparents and just plain caring human beings — such heartbreaking grief. I suggest that now is the time to discuss gun control because one facet of the process of grieving is anger: anger at the cause of the loss we suffer. So let us honor our anger in grieving by staying with it now, and for as long as it takes to change and enforce gun control laws the will reduce the kind of carnage that grieves us today.
