Memorial set for Sonoma County broadcasting legend Jim Grady

Family, friends and fans of Jim Grady will gather to celebrate the life of the veteran Sonoma County radio broadcaster at 1 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Friedman Center in Santa Rosa.

Grady was the morning anchor and the night sports announcer through most of his 44 years with KSRO/AM. For the past eight years, he worked the weekend morning slot at KZST/FM.

Failing health forced him off the air last October. Gregarious and fun-loving to the end, he died Feb. 13 at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.
