More than 3,500 Sebastopol PG&E customers lose power on Christmas Eve

Power was restored about 5:45 a.m. Christmas Day, PG&E said.|

It was the night before Christmas and all through Sebastopol, more than 3,500 PG&E customers were without power.

A tree was to blame, the utility said.

About 7:30 p.m. Sunday, a tree fell and struck overhead power lines on Healdsburg Avenue, knocking out power to 3,544 electricity customers around the city, company spokesperson Karly Hernandez said in an email Monday.
