Students at Sonoma Academy teamed up this week with Sutter nurses and other care staff to create a large new mural at the Sutter Pacific Medical Center Care Center in Santa Rosa.

The 300-square-foot mural is just inside the entrance to the site on Airway Drive. It came about through a “paint-a-thon” involving the high school students and Sutter personnel.

The artwork is part of an initiative spearheaded by Sutter Ambulatory CEO Erin Neal. When complete, the mural will include an interactive whiteboard where patients, families, Sutter clinicians and staff can express their gratitude in messages to hearten others.
