RIVERSIDE Man struck by Metrolink train dies

A 44-year-old man was struck and killed Friday by a Metrolink commuter train.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said the unidentified man was hit about 2:25 p.m. Friday as he walked on the train tracks in Jurupa Valley.

He was dressed in dark clothing with a hood over his head and it wasn't clear whether he heard or saw the approaching train.

Railroad traffic was stopped for 2? hours as authorities investigated his death.
