Santa Rosa bus driver shortage leads to canceled weekday trips

Due to an “unforeseen” driver shortage, Santa Rosa’s CityBus officials said several weekday trips will be canceled from March 25 to March 29.|

Santa Rosa’s CityBus will cancel several weekday routes next week due to an “unforeseen” driver shortage, they announced Friday.

The city’s bus system officials said they hope the service cuts will be temporary as they try to recruit and train more drivers, they said in a news release.

The trips canceled from March 25 to March 29 include:

  • Route 12 at 6:15 a.m.
  • Route 1 at 8:40 a.m. Transit Mall to Coddingtown Only
  • Route 6 at 9:06 a.m. Coddingtown to Transit Mall Only
  • Route 2B at 9:45 a.m.
  • Route 8 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Route 1 at 11:20 a.m.
  • Route 12 at 12:15 p.m.
  • Route 2 at 1 p.m.
  • Route 1 at 1:40 p.m.
  • Route 4 at 4 p.m.
  • Route 6 at 5 p.m.
  • Route 12 at 6:15 p.m.
  • Route 1 at 7 p.m.
  • Route 2B at 7:45 p.m.

“Everyone at CityBus apologizes for the inconvenience and we thank you for choosing to ride public transit,” they said in the release.
