A Garberville man who was arrested last month in New Jersey in connection with a brutal pot slaying and robbery was booked Saturday into the Mendocino County Jail on suspicion of murder, according to online jail records.

Gary Blank III, 34, was taken into custody March 10 at a residence in the borough of Red Bank on a Mendocino County warrant. He is suspected in the Nov. 11 killing of Jeffrey Quinn Settler, 35, on a remote property near Laytonville.

Blank was the seventh and final suspect captured in connection with the slaying. Authorities said they would be seeking his extradition to California.

Blank is being held without bail.
