Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena, will hold a public forum in Spanish on the Affordable Care Act from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Mountain Elementary School.
Health care professionals will explain how people may enroll in Covered California, the state's insurance exchange, and learn about the benefits available under the law, commonly known as Obamacare.
Nearly eight in 10 uninsured Latinos may qualify for Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program or lower costs on monthly premiums through the insurance exchanges, according to a report this week by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The school is at 1210 Bellevue Ave., Santa Rosa.
