Three Santa Rosa men arrested after 10 pounds of pot found in van

Three Santa Rosans were in custody in the Mendocino County Jail early Monday after law enforcement officers stopped them in Ukiah and found 10 pounds of marijuana in their car, officials reported.

The arrests came after deputies were called at 11:30 p.m. Sunday about males in a white mini van brandishing a gun on a rural northern Ukiah road.

Deputies went to the area of Pinoleville and Orr Springs roads but didn't initially find a van. They did stop a speeding and swerving white truck whose driver told them he was trying to get away from males in a white mini van who were shooting at cars, officials said.

Deputies found a white mini van on Orr Springs Road and stopped it with help from the CHP and Ukiah police. The group of officers held the occupants at gunpoint and searched the van, which held about 10 pounds of processed marijuana and about $2,400 in cash, officials said.

No guns were found in the van.

They arrested Eddy Joseph, 32, Jordan Jackson, 20, and Kwami Jackson, 19, on suspicion of possession and transportation of marijuana for sale.

The three were booked into jail in lieu of $30,000 each.
