Trucks and tasting rooms

After enjoying an outstanding BLAT — bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato sandwich — at the Sonoma County Book Festival last weekend, we're tempted to follow its maker, Fork Catering, almost anywhere.

Lucky for anyone who enjoys this yummy food, the Fork-mobile will be at the new Dutton Goldfield Tasting Room (3100 Gravenstein Highway N., Sebastopol) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

After buying your lunch, you can sit in the tasting room, buy a glass of wine to accompany your meal and relax while you enjoy it. Hard to resist, no?

Fork's menu, posted on a chalkboard that leans against the truck below the window where you place your order, evolves continuously. At the Book Festival, offerings included the BLAT ($7), a BLAT with wild salmon ($10), a quinoa-garbanzo burger with aioli and arugula ($8), a Chinese chicken noodle salad ($8) and a grilled cheese ($5). They also have full espresso offerings and agua fresca.
