Woman injured in fall from Mendocino Headlands

A woman in her 20s suffered a head injury in a fall to the rocks below the Mendocino Headlands on Wednesday evening, according to Cal Fire.

The Mendocino Fire Department responded, but officials were unavailable to comment Wednesday. Cal Fire was in touch with the volunteer firefighters via radio. The woman was flown in a REACH helicopter to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. The extent of her injuries was unknown.

Responders were able to walk down a path to access the victim, Cal Fire said.
