8. Ride a Cable Car

The cable car is a unique and fun experience to do while in San Francisco. There are three lines, Powell-Hyde, Powell-Mason, California Street. The fare is $6 one way.

The Cable Cars are icons of San Francisco, the world’s last manually operated cable car system. They are among the most significant tourist attractions in the city, along with Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, and Fisherman’s Wharf.
