James Mittelberger has been hired as chief medical officer by Larkspur-based Hospice by the Bay. A clinical professor at UCSF School of Medicine, he most recently served as medical director and chief medical officer of Optum Center for Palliative and Supportive Care in Eden Prairie, Minn. He previously held positions as chief of the division of geriatrics at Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland and medical director at the Over 60’s Health Center in Berkeley.


Lynn Scherler has joined American AgCredit as chief lending officer. He recently served as president of the Strategic Relationship Division at CoBank. He previously was interim president and CEO of Farm Credit of Southwest Kansas, prior to a joint management arrangement and subsequent merger with American Ag Credit at the start of this year.


Neena Hanchett has been named executive director for the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce. A Cloverdale resident since 2001, she served as vice president and advertising manager for Hanchett Publishing, owners of the Cloverdale Reveille newspaper, until the paper was sold in 2013.


Kelley Eling has joined RE/MAX Gold in the Novato office. A real estate agent since 2002, she previously was affiliated with RE/MAX Consultants Desert Springs.


Kay Marquet is serving as interim CEO of Canine Companions in Santa Rosa. She formerly served as president and CEO of Community Foundation Sonoma County.
