A Santa Rosa resident who had been missing since Saturday was found Monday, his family said.

Raymond Jimenez, 58, left his board and care home Saturday in southwest Santa Rosa and hadn’t been heard from since, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office. The office issued a missing person’s alert Monday to ask the community for help locating him. Authorities later found Jimenez - cold and hungry, but otherwise OK - on Monday evening, at the Safeway on West College Avenue, his brother-in-law, Robert Mohit, said.

“We are very thankful,” Mohit said. “I thank the sheriff’s department, the police department and all the people that’s helped us.”

Mohit said he and his wife, Jimenez’s sister, have spent several hours over the last few days searching the area for Jimenez. They were out looking for Jimenez again Monday when authorities called them and told them they found Jimenez at the Safeway.

“We’re happy to find him,” Mohit said. “We’re taking him out to a restaurant to have a good meal.”
