Muir Woods National Monument to close starting Monday due to partial government shutdown

Muir Woods National Monument in Marin County will close starting Monday due to the partial federal government shutdown, the Golden Gate National Recreation Area announced Friday.

Parking, bathroom and other visitor services will not be available.

Visitors who have reservations for the shuttle or parking will have them automatically refunded "for the duration of the closure," according to the National Park Service.
