A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Saturday night on Old Redwood Highway in the Windsor area, the CHP reported.

Officers responded to the crash just south of Shiloh Road around 11:20 p.m., the CHP said. When they arrived, they found a woman with major injuries lying in the roadway.

She was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where she remained in the intensive care unit, CHP Officer David deRutte said in an email.

The vehicle that hit her fled in an unknown direction, CHP said. Officers found at the crash site pieces of broken headlight believed to be from the vehicle. CHP had “no leads on the vehicle or suspect yet,” deRutte said.

No other details were available Sunday.

Anyone with information on the crash is urged to call the Santa Rosa CHP Office at 707-588-1400 or 707-641-8300.
