Zinfandel Advocates and Producers, ZAP, launched the Donn P. Reisen Scholarship for wine MBA students at Sonoma State University.

The Reisen family and friends donated $25,000 to launch an endowment and fund scholarships, beginning this coming spring.

Reisen, who passed away early in 2009, was a founding board member and past president of ZAP.

ZAP is an advocacy group promoting American zinfandel. The 20th Annual Zinfandel Advocates & Producers Festival takes place Jan. 27-29 in San Francisco.

Sonoma State University's Wine Business Institute was founded in 1995 and offers undergraduate and graduate degrees focused exclusively on business aspects of the wine industry.
