Highway 101 crash blocks downtown Santa Rosa traffic
The CHP is investigating a southbound Highway 101 crash in downtown Santa Rosa involving a pickup driver who apparently clipped a pickup and rolled his truck.
The impact left the initial driver’s pickup battered and facing northbound, said Santa Rosa fire Battalion Chief Mark Basque.
Debris littered the roadway and commute traffic slowed after the 8:40 a.m. crash, which occurred just south of the College Avenue exit.
The driver, in a Toyota Tundra, hit the back of a Dodge Ram pickup as he moved across two lanes, said the CHP. The Toyota ran onto the shoulder, hit a guardrail and flipped, landing on its wheels.
No major injuries were reported. The crash was cleared about 9:40 a.m. the CHP said.
