Eerie video of the Tubbs fire devastation of Fountaingrove - one year later

Last October, the North Bay was forever scarred by deadly wildfires. Fountaingrove was one of the hardest-hit areas in the region, and there have been plenty of photos and stories to prove it.

But to see it from the sky is another story.

Chad Surmick, The Press Democrat's director of photography, combined Google Earth database imagery to show the complete desolation of Fountaingrove.

In this time-lapse video, you will see video captured by satellite just before the fires, in August, compared with video from this month.
