SAN JOSE - The California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert Saturday for an 11-year-old girl and 1-year-old boy allegedly kidnapped by their mother during a supervised visit with a social worker at Emma Prusch Park in San Jose late Friday afternoon.

The social worker called San Jose police about 5:20 p.m. to report the parental abduction.

San Jose police Sgt. Enrique Garcia said the mother, identified as 33-year-old Diana Moreira-Del Rio, kidnapped the 1-year-old while the social worker was in the restroom with the 11-year-old. The 11-year-old then disappeared while the social worker looked for the 1-year-old.

Police believe both children are with Moreira-Del Rio.

Moreira Del-Rio is described as Latina, 5-foot-4 and 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black tank top and black leggings with neon stripes.

Priscilla Penaloza, the 11-year-old, is described as Latina, 4-foot-7 and 80 pounds with pink-tipped light brown and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a green jacket with fur on the hood and black Adidas pants.

Alexander Penaloza, the 1-year-old, is described as Latino, 20.5 inches tall and about 24 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray puffy coat, blue jeans and black Vans shoes.

Police believe Moreira-Del Rio is driving a grey 2012 Mini Cooper with California license plate 6UWL251 and is possibly headed to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Moreira-Del Rio now has an active felony warrant for kidnapping, police said on Saturday.

Anyone with information about the trio's whereabouts can call 911 or the San Jose police robbery unit at 408-277-4166.
