A 43-year-old Healdsburg woman, on probation for an elder abuse conviction, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of violating the terms of her probation.

Gloria Garcia Bernal pleaded no contest in 2010 to charges she stole $6,500 by forging and then cashing checks that belonged to an elderly man in her care. As part of her probation, she is prohibited from working again with elders or dependent adults. But detectives with the sheriff’s property crimes division were alerted that Bernal was working at a private facility on Birdie Drive in Windsor under the name Janeth Narcizo, said Sonoma County Sheriff’s Lt. Carlos Basurto .

While the Birdie home was operated by the same owners as the facility where Bernal was working when she was arrested in 2010, it was not clear whether they knew she was the same person, Basurto said.

Bernal was booked into the county jail on a no-bail hold.
